Take a look at the first week of July’s bestselling books as reported by indie booksellers across the country! Here is the complete list.
Here are some highlights that didn’t shock us AT ALL! Colleen Hoover has three books on this week’s list: It Starts With Us, It Ends With Us and Too Late
If you have not read her yet, I am with you. And once again, I am feeling the pressure to read books that are on this list because I am so behind.
Have you read about her latest controversy? Many of her readers are upset about the movie adaptation of It Ends With Us. This is why I cannot read a book AND watch the movie. I have to pick one or the other!
If you’re looking for some Colleen Hoover books, we have a few for sale.
Many of our customers’ favorites are on this list like: The Song of Achilles and A Court of Thorns and Roses.
I will likely never read ACOTAR, but The Song of Achilles is on my list. I am interested in it because it is an adaptation of Iliad but told from a different perspective. I love retellings!
In the nonfiction section, some of our customer faves are also on the list: Crying in H Mart, Braiding Sweetgrass and Killers of the Flower Moon (on there AGAIN!)
I talked about Killers of the Flower Moon last month. I have decided that I will be watching it-because you know I have to pick one or the other! And I heard the Netflix rendition is well done.
Braiding Sweetgrass gets all the raves. Kate really enjoyed it. And every time I read the summary I get turned off. It sounds so boring. But over and over I hear people loving it and I see it on these lists. It is on my tbr. I am not sure when I will get to it, but I will!
I really enjoy looking at these lists. I always steal a few for my ever growing tbr list.
